I. Project Background: Accurately Entering the High-End French Market

France has strict requirements on the safety, environmental protection and compliance of gantry crane equipment. Imported equipment must meet EU EN series standards, and advocates the "lightweight, modular and low-energy consumption" design. A well-known French engineering enterprise needed to purchase high-end European-style gantry cranes for the Le Havre Port renovation project and the Paris suburban factory upgrading project, requiring low noise, easy maintenance, adaptation to the local maritime climate, and compatibility with existing control systems. Sanomac became the partner due to its products fully complying with European standards and outstanding customization capabilities, realizing the bulk entry of European-style gantry cranes into the mainstream French market.

II. Core Highlights: European Standard Design + Specific Parameters, Accurately Adapting to Needs

A series of light gantry cranes were exported this time, strictly benchmarking and optimizing against European standards. The specific parameters and design advantages are as follows:

(I) Structural Design and Core Parameters

Adopting European-style lightweight and modular design, the main beam is a square box H-shaped steel structure (material: EU standard S355JR high-strength steel), the main welds are inspected by non-destructive testing, and the shot blasting pretreatment reaches Sa2.5 level; the weight of the equipment is 30% lower than that of traditional gantry cranes. The light gantry crane has a rated lifting capacity of 2-5t, a span of 8-16m, and a lifting height of 3-8m. The end beam is welded with rectangular steel pipes and processed by CNC, equipped with double-flange wheels (diameter Φ150-200mm), buffers and anti-derailment devices, with an operation accuracy of ±3mm.

(II) Performance Parameters and EU Standard Compliance

1. Energy Saving: Adopting ABB imported high-efficiency frequency conversion motor (power 0.75-3.0kW), frequency conversion control realizes shock-free start, and the energy consumption is more than 30% lower than that of traditional gantry cranes, complying with the EU ErP energy-saving directive; matched with SEW reducer (transmission ratio 1:20-1:40), the service life is ≥100,000 hours.

2. Low Noise: The operation noise is ≤74dB, complying with EN ISO 11200 standard.

3. Safety: Following EN 1154 standard, it is equipped with travel limit, height limit, overload limit, emergency stop button and obstacle detection device, which can be manually emergency-operated when power is off, with protection level IP65.

(III) Adaptive Design

In view of France's maritime climate, the electrical components adopt IP65 protection level, and the mechanical parts are anti-corrosion treated; the gantry cranes used in Le Havre Port are equipped with wind load control system (adaptive wind speed ≤15m/s), which can automatically adjust the operation parameters. The control unit reserves interfaces, supports remote monitoring and fault self-inspection, and is compatible with local control systems.

(IV) Compliance Certification

All equipment has passed EU CE certification and EN series testing, with complete certification documents. The production and testing follow the ISO 9001 system, which can enter the French market without additional modification.

III. Project Execution and Achievements

Sanomac set up a special project team to efficiently complete demand docking, production, logistics, installation and commissioning. A total of 15 light gantry cranes were delivered. After commissioning, the trouble-free operation rate reached 99.5%, which greatly improved the operation efficiency and reduced energy consumption, and was highly recognized by French customers.
