Single Pole Conductor Rail

Description:

The single-pole conductor rail is a power supply system designed to deliver electricity to mobile machinery such as overhead crane and gantry crane. The conductor is made of aluminum alloy profiles, and the outer protective cover is made from specially formulated PVC material, providing protection against rain, dust, snow, and electric shock.

Features:

  • Safe and reliable: Even direct contact with fingers poses no risk of electric shock, in compliance with IP23 protection standards.

  • Energy-efficient: Specially formulated aluminum alloy profiles are used as conductors, featuring low resistance to minimize power loss.

  • Universal compatibility: The protective sheath and accessories are standardized and interchangeable.

  • Standards-compliant: The product meets national standards JB6391.1-92 and JB6391.2-92.

  • Long service life: The conductor’s sheath is made with a unique formulation that significantly extends the lifespan of the single-pole conductor rail system.

  • Modular design: Easy to install and maintain, especially suitable for elevated operations.

  • 3D motion-capable current collector: Ensures uninterrupted power supply to the equipment. A dual insulation design enhances operational safety and reliability.

  • Advanced materials and technology: The use of new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes ensures superior resistance to corrosion, acids, and weather, as well as a wider working temperature range, resulting in enhanced safety and performance.

Installation:

Compared to other types of conductor rails, the installation of single-pole conductor rails is relatively more flexible. Below is a brief overview of the installation process:

1. Selection of Mounting Brackets
The first step involves selecting the appropriate mounting brackets. Typically, three types are available for single-pole conductor rails—I-shaped, Z-shaped, and L-shaped brackets. There are also special models, which are not covered here.

  • For single-girder cranes, Z-shaped brackets are recommended.

  • For double-girder cranes, I-shaped brackets are more suitable.
Bracket selection should be based on the type of mobile equipment and the overall length of the conductor rail. Adjustments can be made accordingly to fit the actual installation environment.

When installing the brackets, it is important to maintain their horizontal and vertical alignment, ensuring that all brackets are parallel to one another.
The typical distance between brackets is 1.2 to 1.5 meters, but this can be adjusted based on site conditions.

2. Installing the Conductor Rail
Once the brackets are securely mounted, proceed to install the hanging clamps onto the brackets.
Next, insert the single-pole conductor rail into the hanging clamps and tighten the nuts on the clamps to secure the rail in place.
Be sure to install end caps on both ends of the rail to complete this step.

3. Thermal Expansion Considerations
Special attention is required when:

  • The total length of the conductor rail exceeds 150–200 meters, or

  • The conductor rail operates long-term in high-temperature environments.

In such cases, it is essential to install expansion sections to accommodate thermal expansion and prevent deformation.

4. Maintenance Section (Optional)
If multiple mobile devices operate on a single conductor rail, it is recommended to install a maintenance section.
This allows for easier inspection and servicing. The location of the maintenance section is flexible and can be customized according to operational needs.

5. Installing the Current Collector
The final step is to install the current collector.
Secure the collector onto the mobile equipment using its designated bracket, ensuring that it can move smoothly along the conductor rail track.

6. Final Inspection and Commissioning
Once installation is complete, conduct a comprehensive inspection.
Power on the system and begin test operation, starting from low-power to high-power devices, ensuring that all components function safely and reliably.

This process ensures the single-pole conductor rail system is installed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with best practices.
